Pemerintah Revisi Aturan Pembatasan Barang Bawaan dari Luar Negeri
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Pemerintah secara resmi merevisi Peraturan Menteri Perdagangan (Permendag) Nomor 36 Tahun 2023 tentang Kebijakan dan Pengaturan Impor yang telah diubah menjadi Permendag Nomor 3 Tahun 2024. Keputusan tersebut diambil berdasarkan hasil rapat koordinasi terbatas yang digelar, Selasa (16/4) di Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian. Rapat dilaksanakan bersama Kementerian Perdagangan, Badan Pelindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BP2MI), Kementerian Perindustrian, dan Direktorat Jenderal Bea dan Cukai Kementerian Keuangan
Dengan dicabutnya aturan tersebut, maka pembatasan barang bawaan dari luar negeri ke Indonesia tidak lagi diberlakukan. Kepala Badan Pelindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BP2MI) Benny Rhamdani menjelaskan bahwa khusus untuk Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI), pembatasannya hanya dikembalikan sesuai dengan relaksasi pengenaan bea masuk dan PPN senilai 1.500 dolar AS per tahun.
"PMI tidak boleh dibatasi membawa berapa banyak dan jenis barang apa, yang penting nilainya aja. Nah, itu tidak lagi diatur dalam Permendag," ujar Benny.
Kebijakan pembatasan barang bawaan penumpang ini sebelumnya sempat direvisi oleh Mendag Zulkifli Hasan dan berlaku sejak 10 Maret silam. Namun, aturan ini menuai kontroversi dan protes dari masyarakat karena dinilai terlalu ketat.
