Joe Biden Diam-Diam Setuju Kirim Lebih Banyak Bom dan Pesawat Tempur untuk Israel
SEAToday.com, Washington - Presiden Amerika Serikat (AS) Joe Biden diam-diam menyetujui pengiriman lebih banyak bom dan pesawat tempur baru untuk Israel, menurut sebuah laporan yang rilis, Jumat (29/3), dilansir dari Anadolu Agency.
Salah satu pejabat Departemen Luar Negeri bagian Pertahanan mengungkapkan, senjata yang disetujui presiden AS tersebut mencakup 1.800 bom MK84 seberat 2.000 pon (±1 ton) dan 500 bom MK82 seberat 500 pon (±250 kg). Selain itu, Biden juga menyetujui pengalihan 25 mesin dan jet tempur F-35A bernilai sekitar 2,5 miliar dolar AS atau 37,9 triliun rupiah.
Keputusan yang disetujui diam-diam tersebut muncul karena tuntutan dari rekan-rekan Biden di Partai Demokrat. Mereka mendesak Biden untuk memberikan persyaratan tambahan senjata kepada Israel dan menghilangkan hambatan terhadap penyediaan bantuan kemanusiaan internasional.
