Kantor Kementerian Agama Dapat Digunakan untuk Tempat Ibadat Sementara
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Menteri Agama, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, resmi menerbitkan Surat Edaran (SE) Nomor 11 tahun 2023 mengenai pemanfaatan kantor Kementerian Agama (Kemenag) sebagai rumah ibadat sementara, Kamis (16/11). Edaran ini ditujukan kepada seluruh Kepala Kantor Wilayah Kemenag provinsi dan kabupaten/kota di Indonesia.
Kepala Pusat Kerukunan Umat Beragama Sekretariat Jenderal Kemenag Wawan Djunaedi, Selasa (21/11), menyebutkan bahwa saat ini masih ada umat beragama yang belum melaksanakan peribadatan secara tertib, nyaman, dan aman. Hal ini disebabkan karena belum tersedianya rumah ibadat, mendapatkan resistensi dari masyarakat, atau belum mendapatkan fasilitas dari pemerintah daerah sehingga Kemenag menyediakan fasilitas tersebut.
Namun ada beberapa persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi, seperti menyiapkan peralatan ibadat secara mandiri, durasi setiap kegiatan peribadatan paling lama 2 jam, serta mengajukan permohonan dengan Kepala Kantor Kemenag setempat dan lainnya.
