Telkom Akan Luncurkan Satelit HTS pada 20 Februari 2024
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk melalui anak perusahaan Telkomsat akan meluncurkan satelit dengan teknologi High Throughput Satellite (HTS) pada 20 Februari waktu Florida atau 21 Februari 2024 waktu Indonesia. Satelit ini menjadi satelit ke-11 milik Telkom yang nantinya akan menempati slot orbit 113 derajat Bujur Timur (113 BT).
Direktur Utama Telkom Indonesia Ririek Adriansyah mengatakan “satelit dengan nama Merah Putih 2 ini akan diluncurkan langsung dari Cape Canaveral, Florida dengan menggunakan roket Falcon 9". Satelit Merah Putih 2 dengan kapasitas hingga 32 Gbps membawa transponder aktif yang terdiri dari frekuensi C-band dan Ku-band yang akan menjangkau seluruh area Indonesia.
Ia juga menyebutkan, Satelit Merah Putih 2 menjadi harapan sekaligus wujud komitmen Telkom untuk mendukung pemerataan konektivitas di seluruh Indonesia. Telkom meyakini dengan adanya pemerataan akses informasi ini diharapkan dapat mengakselerasi digitalisasi masyarakat di berbagai aspek.
