Rangkaian Kereta Commuter Pertama dari Tiongkok Akan Tiba pada Tahun 2025
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia atau KAI Commuter membeli tiga rangkaian kereta rel listrik (KRL) baru dari produsen kereta asal Tiongkok, CRRC Sifang Co Ltd senilai 783 miliar rupiah.
Sekretaris Perusahaan KAI Commuter, Anne Purba menyebutkan rangkaian KRL pertama akan tiba selama 13,5 bulan sejak kesepakatan pembelian dan akan tiba di Indonesia secara bertahap pada 2025.
Nantinya, KAI akan melakukan uji coba rangkaian sepanjang 4.000 kilometer untuk mendapatkan sertifikasi dari Direktorat Jenderal Perkeretaapian (DKJA) dan diizinkan untuk melayani penumpang.
Pengadaan armada ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas angkut seiring dengan target perusahaan untuk mencapai 1,2 juta orang penumpang per hari di tahun depan.
