Presiden Joko Widodo Bertemu Sekjen PBB Bahas Aksi Iklim dan Situasi di Gaza

SEAToday.com, Dubai - Presiden Indonesia Joko Widodo melakukan pertemuan bilateral di sela-sela konferensi iklim Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB) atau COP28, bersama Sekretaris Jenderal (Sekjen) PBB, António Guterres di Ruang Bilateral, Expo City Dubai, Persatuan Emirat Arab, Sabtu (2/12).

Dalam pertemuan yang berlangsung, Presiden Jokowi membahas aksi iklim. Presiden Jokowi memaparkan sejumlah langkah kuat dan nyata yang dilakukan pemerintah Indonesia dalam mengatasi perubahan iklim. Dalam pernyataannya, Presiden Jokowi juga menyampaikan Indonesia menghargai inisiatif Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP).

“Oleh sebab itu, Indonesia mendukung agenda akselerasi dalam pendanaan iklim yang digagas bahwa negara maju harus membantu negara berkembang,” ujar Presiden Jokowi.

Selain itu, Presiden Jokowi juga membahas mengenai situasi di Gaza. Presiden menegaskan jika Indonesia mengutuk keras kekejaman Israel dan mendukung dilakukannya investigasi melalui mekanisme internasional terkait pelanggaran yang dilakukan Israel di Gaza.
