SEAToday.com, Gaza - The Indonesian National Armed Force Health Workers Task Force for Gaza was assigned to continue the humanitarian mission in the conflict area, Saturday, September 7, 2024. The Indonesian National Armed Force Healthcare Team treated Palestinians at the UAE Field Hospital in Raffah, Palestine and the UAE Floating Hospital in El Arish, Egypt.

A total of 34 health workers were divided into two teams in different locations to ensure that the residents get the medical services they need. The first team consisted of 25 health workers placed at the UAE Field Hospital in Raffah, Palestine (10 people) and at the UAE Floating Hospital in El Arish, Egypt (15 people), as quoted from the Indonesian Ministry of Defense website.

The health worker team at the UAE Field Hospital in Raffah started their activities with morning report activities. After that, the doctors carry out visitations and examinations to patients, while paramedics and nurses carry out tasks according to their respective fields.

Meanwhile, at the UAE Floating Hospital in El Arish, Egypt, a team of 15 health workers also carried out medical activities optimally. This floating hospital not only serves routine examinations but also carries out surgery and physiotherapy services.

On the same day, Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 3 p.m. local time, a second team of nine additional health workers arrived in El Arish, Egypt. Led by Dr. Leksmana Sp.Rad, their arrival at the Floating Hospital increased the capacity of health services there.

The nine additional health workers departed from Abu Dhabi to El Arish using a C 130 Hercules owned by the UAE Air Force. This additional team increases the number of health workers in El Arish to 24 people who will help strengthen the medical services that are already running, especially in handling cases that require special attention.

The presence of the TNI Health Workers Task Force is very helpful for the people of Gaza, Palestine, who are victims of conflict due to Israeli aggression. The wounded and those suffering from various diseases receive good and complete health services so that they can immediately recover their health.

Until now, UAE hospitals both in Palestine and in El Arish, Egypt have served 48,704 patients, including carrying out 1,780 operations. The presence of TNI Health Workers for Gaza is a concrete proof of Indonesia's commitment in supporting humanitarian missions for the Palestinian people.
