SEAToday.com, Jakarta - State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Minister Erick Thohir has confirmed that there will be no ticket price hikes across all state-owned transportation companies during the 2025 Eid homecoming season.

"In line with our responsibilities, the central government policy ensures that there will be no ticket price increases for Pelni, ASDP, Jasa Marga, Damri, and all other operators," Erick stated during a press conference at the BUMN Ministry office in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He emphasized that the decision to maintain current ticket prices during the Eid period aligns with the government's directives. Any potential discounts or promotions will be determined by higher authorities.

“Whether there will be discounts or other adjustments falls under the jurisdiction of higher authorities, such as the Ministry of Transportation or others. But for now, we can confirm there will be no price increases,” he explained.

In discussions with transportation BUMNs, Erick urged them to optimize services and enhance safety measures for travelers.

Additionally, he highlighted that early coordination and planning are crucial to replicating the success of smooth operations during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holiday seasons for the upcoming Eid holiday.

"We are making early preparations to ensure smooth operations, as we did during the Christmas and New Year period. Next week, we plan to coordinate with the police regarding operational matters, such as traffic control and toll road arrangements, which are crucial for road travel," Erick added.
