Kemlu: Tidak Ada WNI Jadi Korban Kebakaran Hutan di Los Angeles
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kementerian Luar Negeri (Kemlu) Republik Indonesia mengonfirmasi bahwa hingga saat ini, tidak ada WNI yang meninggal akibat kebakaran hutan di Los Angeles, California, Amerika Serikat.
Berdasarkan koordinasi dengan pihak berwenang setempat dan komunitas Indonesia, Kemlu menyatakan bahwa tidak ada laporan mengenai WNI yang menjadi korban jiwa, demikian disampaikan oleh Direktur Jenderal Perlindungan WNI (Ditjen PWNI) Kemlu, Judha Nugraha, melalui siaran pers pada Sabtu di Jakarta.
Namun, Judha menambahkan, KJRI Los Angeles telah menerima laporan tentang empat WNI yang terdampak kebakaran dan saat ini mendapatkan bantuan dari KJRI LA.
Selain itu, beberapa diaspora Indonesia yang berstatus WNA juga dilaporkan kehilangan tempat tinggal akibat kebakaran tersebut.
Kemlu dan KJRI LA terus memantau situasi kebakaran, sementara Konjen RI di Los Angeles telah mengunjungi tempat penampungan pengungsi di Pasadena. Sebagai bagian dari respons darurat, KJRI LA telah menyiapkan tempat penampungan dan bantuan logistik bagi WNI yang terdampak.
Imbauan melalui berbagai platform juga telah disebarkan, agar WNI lebih waspada, memantau informasi titik kebakaran, mengikuti petunjuk evakuasi dari pihak berwenang, dan segera menghubungi hotline KJRI LA di +1 (213) 590-8095 dalam situasi darurat.
Hingga Jumat (10/1) waktu setempat, titik api terus muncul, setelah sebelumnya terdapat titik baru di Kenneth Hills. Pada Sabtu, area kebakaran di Pacific Palisades semakin meluas hingga mencapai Santa Monica.
Meskipun upaya pemadaman api masih berlangsung, titik api di Hollywood Hills yang terdampak telah berhasil dipadamkan, dan peringatan evakuasi di wilayah tersebut telah dicabut.
Hingga Minggu (12/1), tercatat 13 korban jiwa akibat kebakaran tersebut.
