Belanda Kembalikan Lagi 288 Benda Sejarah ke Indonesia

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Pemerintah Kerajaan Belanda mengembalikan 288 benda budaya masa lalu Nusantara ke Indonesia. Pengembalian benda budaya masa lalu ini berdasarkan rekomendasi Komite Koleksi Kolonial Belanda, yang dipimpin Lilian Goncalves-Ho Kang You.

Serah terima 288 objek budaya dilakukan, Jumat (20/9) waktu setempat di Wereldmuseum Amsterdam, tempat objek budaya tersebut disimpan dan dipamerkan.

Menteri Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Belanda Eppo Bruins dalam pernyataan pers mengatakan, pemulangan objek sejarah tersebut menjadi yang kedua menyusul repatriasi pertama terhadap objek budaya Indonesia dan Sri Lanka pertengahan 2023 lalu.

Objek-objek budaya yang dipulangkan tersebut terdiri dari 284 objek bersejarah seperti senjata, koin, dan perhiasan terkait Puputan Badung. Selain itu, ada pula empat patung Hindu-Buddha yaitu patung Bhairava, Nandi, Ganesha, dan Brahma, yang dibawa ke Belanda dari Jawa pada paruh pertama abad ke-19.
