SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Siswa Indonesia dari SMP dan SMA Kesatuan Bangsa Yogyakarta meraih medali emas untuk kategori Penampil Terbaik dalam ajang World Dance Festival 2024 (WDF 2024) yang digelar di Suwon Convention Center, Korea Selatan, pada 15-18 Agustus.
Para siswa yang terdiri dari 21 siswa kelompok ekstrakurikuler tari tersebut mengikuti kategori tari tradisional dengan membawakan Tari Ratoh Jaroe. Mereka berhasil mencuri perhatian dan menghadirkan “Indonesian Wave” di Korea Selatan.
Selain meraih emas, mereka juga mendapatkan undangan istimewa KBRI Seoul untuk tampil pada perayaan HUT ke-79 Republik Indonesia di hadapan 60.000 warga Indonesia yang bermukim di Korea. Hal ini menjadi kesempatan untuk memperkenalkan budaya Indonesia kepada masyarakat di negara Asing.
