Presiden Amerika Serikat Terpilih Donald Trump Tunjuk Elon Musk Pimpin Departemen Efisiensi Pemerintah
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Presiden terpilih Amerika Serikat Donald Trump menunjuk pendiri SpaceX Elon Musk (@elonmusk) untuk memimpin Departemen Efisiensi Pemerintah (Government Efficiency Department). Trump menilai pemilik media sosial X tersebut cocok mengurus keuangan dan efisiensi dana pemerintahan.
Melalui pernyataan yang dirilis Selasa (12/11), Trump menjelaskan Elon akan didampingi mantan kandidat presiden dari Partai Republik, Viviek Ramaswamny, untuk memimpin badan baru yang akan berdiri setelah pelantikan dirinya sebagai presiden pada Januari 2025.
Keduanya akan membuka jalan bagi pemerintahan untuk membongkar birokrasi, memangkas regulasi berlebih, mengurangi pengeluaran yang tidak perlu, serta merestrukturisasi lembaga-lembaga federal.
Sebelumnya, pada September lalu, Elon sempat membuat cuitan yang menyatakan harapannya untuk mengabdi kepada Amerika jika diberi kesempatan. Elon Musk bahkan bersedia tak digaji, tak diberi jabatan, dan tak diberi pengakuan.
