CEO Microsoft Akan Menyambangi Indonesia, Menkominfo: Investasi 14 Triliun
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika (Menkominfo) Budi Arie Setiadi mengonfirmasi kedatangan CEO Microsoft Satya Nadella ke Indonesia pada 30 April mendatang. Raksasa teknologi Amerika Serikat ini dikabarkan akan berinvestasi dengan membangun pusat data senilai lebih dari 14 triliun rupiah.
Budi belum merincikan secara detail penggunaan dana triliunan tersebut, dan rencana proyek Microsoft di Indonesia.
"Namun, salah satu tujuannya adalah untuk pemberdayaan sumber daya manusia," ujarnya usai konferensi pers, Jumat (19/4).
Ketika ditanya apakah Nadella akan bertemu dengan Presiden Joko Widodo, Direktur Jenderal Komunikasi dan Informasi Publik Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo) Usman Kansong menyebut masih mengatur waktu.
"Dia sudah mengajukan, tapi kan sangat tergantung waktu presiden nanti biasanya Menkominfo mendampingi. Atau ada pertemuan khusus nanti kita lihat juga genda dia," ucapnya.
Kunjungan Satya Nadella ini menandakan komitmen Microsoft untuk berinvestasi di Indonesia dan mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi digital di negara ini. Sebelumnya, CEO Apple Tim Cook juga telah berkunjung ke Indonesia untuk membahas pembangunan Apple Developer Academy. Pelatihan bernama Apple Developer Academy itu akan bernilai total Rp 1,6 triliun. Apple telah membangun di tiga kota yakni Tangerang, Batam, Surabaya, dan terbaru akan buka di Bali.
