Tak Mau Terus Ekspor Lewat Singapura, Luhut Usulkan Rute Ekspor Medan-Tiongkok
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Menteri Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan tengah mengupayakan pembukaan rute ekspor baru Medan-Ningbo, Tiongkok. Upaya ini merupakan salah satu hasil dari Pertemuan ke-4 Dialog Tingkat Tinggi dan Mekanisme Kerja Sama (HDCM) Republik Indonesia (RI)-Republik Rakyat Tiongkok (RRT) yang diadakan di Labuan Bajo, Nusa Tenggara Timur, pada pekan lalu.
"Kita jangan jadi feeder ke Singapura. Kita harus bisa ekspor (langsung) dari Indonesia," tegas Luhut dalam unggahan di akun Instagram pribadinya (@luhut.pandjaitan), Minggu (21/4).
Luhut menjelaskan bahwa dia telah berkoordinasi dengan Menteri Luar Negeri Tiongkok Wang Yi terkait pembukaan rute baru ini. Dengan dibukanya rute ini, nantinya kontainer dapat dikirim langsung dari Pelabuhan Kuala Tanjung, Medan, menuju Ningbo, Tiongkok.
Luhut menekankan pentingnya pengembangan jalur ekspor ini untuk menunjukkan kemandirian Indonesia di masa depan dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada negara lain.
