Three Presidential Candidates Declare Peaceful Election Campaign for 2024
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Three pairs of candidates participating in the 2024 presidential election officially signed the Peaceful Election Declaration at the General Elections Commission (KPU) office in Jakarta on Monday (11/27). The signing was also attended by all representatives of parties participating in the 2024 Election.
Thus, the election participants, both political parties, candidates for members of the House of Representatives, and pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates, can start campaigning for 75 days, starting from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024.
Before the KPU's Peaceful Election Declaration, the three pairs of 2024 presidential and vice presidential candidates also signed the Declaration of an Orderly and Law-abiding Peaceful Campaign for Participants in the 2024 Election during the National Coordination Meeting of the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu) at the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta, on Monday (11/27).
3 Election Declaration Points:
- To hold direct, general, free, secret, honest, and fair elections.
- To conduct election campaigns that are safe, orderly, peaceful, with integrity, without fraud, without politicization of religion and intergroup conflict (SARA), and without money politics.
- To conduct election campaigns based on applicable laws and regulations.
