SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Sebanyak 500.000 pengunjung merayakan tahun baru di kawasan Monumen Nasional (Monas), Minggu (31/12), menurut data pengelola kawasan tersebut.
Kepala Unit Pengelola Kawasan (UPK) Monas Muhammad Isa Sarnuri menyebutkan bahwa sejak pukul 20.00 hingga 24.00 WIB, tercatat terdapat 529.109 pengunjung, dimana 8 diantaranya merupakan wisatawan mancanegara. Ia juga menyebutkan bahwa sekitar 80.000 pengunjung merupakan anak-anak.
Ratusan ribu pengunjung terlihat memadati kawasan Monas hingga Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) untuk menyaksikan perayaan Tahun Baru 2024. Pada kawasan Monas dapat terlihat video mapping yang terpancar pada tugu Monas. Perayaan ini juga dibuka oleh Pj Gubernur DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono.
