Indonesia Naik ke Peringkat ke-3 dalam Laporan State of the Global Islamic Economy (SGIE) 2023/24
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesia menduduki peringkat ketiga pada The Global Islamic Economy Indicator (GIEI) dalam State of the Global Islamic Economy (SGIE) terbaru yang diluncurkan DinarStandart di Dubai, Uni Emirat Arab, Selasa (26/12). Capaian ini naik satu peringkat dari tahun sebelumnya, di mana Indonesia menduduki peringkat keempat dalam GIEI Ranking 2022.
Malaysia berhasil mempertahankan kedudukannya di peringkat pertama selama 10 tahun berturut-turut, sementara di peringkat kedua diraih oleh Arab Saudi. Ketua Umum Masyarakat Ekonomi Syariah (MES) Erick Thohir mengatakan, Indonesia berhasil masuk dalam sepuluh besar pada sejumlah sektor seperti keuangan Islam, makanan dan minuman halal, kosmetik dan obat-obatan halal busana, serta media dan rekreasi bertema Islam. Indonesia naik 23 posisi ke peringkat keenam dalam Indikator Media dan Rekreasi.
Sebelumnya, SGIE sempat menjadi topik yang ramai diperbincangkan setelah ditanyakan Gibran Rakabuming kepada Muhaimin Iskandar dalam Debat Calon Wakil Presiden (cawapres) 2024, pada Jumat (22/12) lalu.
