Para Staf Presiden Korea Selatan Mengundurkan Diri Buntut Deklarasi Darurat Militer
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Para pejabat senior di kantor kepresidenan, termasuk kepala staf, secara kolektif mengajukan pengunduran diri pada Rabu, 4 Desember 2024 pagi setelah deklarasi Presiden Yoon Suk Yeol dan pencabutan darurat militer.
"Kepala staf dan sekretaris senior secara kolektif telah mengajukan pengunduran diri," kata kantor kepresidenan mengatakan kepada wartawan, dilansir The Korea Herald.
Para staf senior dilaporkan telah mencapai kesepakatan untuk mengundurkan diri dalam sebuah pertemuan para sekretaris senior yang dipimpin oleh Kepala Staf Chung Jin-suk pagi ini.
Yoon Suk Yeol mengumumkan darurat militer sekitar pukul 23.00 waktu setempat pada Selasa, 3 Desember 2024 menuduh partai oposisi utama negara tersebut bersimpati pada Korea Utara dan melakukan kegiatan anti-negara. Para anggota parlemen kemudian dengan suara bulat memilih untuk memblokir keputusan tersebut.
Dilansir CNN, dari 300 anggota Majelis Nasional Korea Selatan, 190 orang hadir untuk memberikan suara dalam sesi darurat tengah malam. Sesaat sebelum pukul 5 pagi waktu setempat pada Rabu, 4 Desember 2024, Yoon mengumumkan bahwa ia akan membatalkan keputusannya.
Konfederasi serikat pekerja terbesar di Korea Selatan mengatakan pada Rabu, 4 Desember 2024 bahwa para anggotanya akan mogok kerja tanpa batas waktu hingga Presiden Yoon Suk Yeol mengundurkan diri menyusul upayanya memberlakukan darurat militer.
