Makassar Dapat Akreditasi Kota Sehat Asia Tenggara dari WHO
SEAToday.com, Makassar - Kota Makassar di Sulawesi Selatan berhasil mendapatkan penghargaan Kota Sehat Asia Tenggara (SEAR Healthy City Network Award) 2024 atas berbagai kebijakan dan inovasi yang diterapkan, sebut Wali Kota Makassar Mohammad Ramdhan Pomanto, Selasa (27/8).
“Kota Makassar mendapatkan award $3.000 dan nantinya wali kota-wali kota se Asia Tenggara yang mendapat penghargaan akan berdiskusi virtual dengan Direktur WHO,” sebut Pomanto.
Menurut Regional Advisor for Health Promotion and Social Determinants of Health WHO SEARO Suvajee Good, Makassar mendapatkan penghargaan ini bersama Kabupaten Wajo, Kota Pune di India, Kota Addu di Maldives, Kota Dhulikhel di Nepal, dan Kota Badulla di Sri Lanka.
“Pemberian penghargaan ini akan disampaikan secara virtual oleh Direktur WHO, dirangkaikan dengan diskusi bersama antar walikota-walikota yang mendapat penghargaan award Network Batch 1,” lanjutnya. Good juga berharap agar Makassar dapat terus memperbaiki kualitas kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakatnya.
