Waspada, BPOM Rilis 10 Obat Herbal yang Rusak Jantung dan Ginjal

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) merilis 10 daftar obat herbal berbahaya yang dapat memicu kerusakan jantung dan ginjal.

Dilansir dari laman resmi BPOM, temuan tersebut diduga mengandung bahan kimia obat (BKO) dengan nilai ekonomi barang bukti mencapai Rp 8,1 miliar.

Kepala BPOM RI Taruna Ikrar mengungkapkan bahwa agen obat bahan alam (OBA) tersebut mendistribusikan OBA yang tidak memiliki izin edar BPOM. OBA tersebut juga tidak memenuhi standar dan/atau persyaratan keamanan, khasiat/manfaat, dan mutu, serta diduga mengandung BKO.

BKO yang ditemukan terkandung di dalam produk OBA ilegal tersebut antara lain sildenafil sitrat, fenilbutazon, metampiron, piroksikam, parasetamol, dan dBadan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) merilis 10 daftar obat herbal berbahaya yang dapat memicu kerusakan jantung dan ginjal.eksametason.

"Konsumsi obat bahan alam tanpa izin edar dan/atau mengandung BKO sangat berisiko bagi kesehatan, bisa mengakibatkan kerusakan organ tubuh, seperti gagal ginjal, kerusakan hati, dan gangguan kesehatan lainnya, bahkan kematian," ujar Taruna.

Sementara itu, temuan dari penindakan OBA ilegal atau mengandung bahan berbahaya ini mengalami peningkatan dari tahun sebelumnya. Pada 2023, jumlah nilai ekonomi temuan dari 2 perkara OBA sebesar Rp2,2 miliar.
