Mbok Yem Pemilik Warung Legendaris di Gunung Lawu Meninggal Dunia
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Wakiyem alias Mbok Yem pemilik warung legendaris di puncak Gunung Lawu, perbatasan Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur, meninggal dunia pada usia 82 tahun.
Mbok Yem meninggal dunia di kediamannya, Desa Gonggang, Magetan, Jawa Timur, Rabu (23/4/2025).
Sebelumnya, Mbok Yem sempat menjalani perawatan di RSU Aisyiyah Ponorogo karena menderita pneumonia Maret lalu.
Setelah menjalani perawatan selama dua minggu, Mbok Yem menjalani rawat jalan untuk penyakitnya.
Nama Mbok Yem menjadi legenda di Puncak Gunung Lawu setelah membuka warung makan pertama di puncak Gunung Lawu sejak tahun 1980-an.
Warungnya menjadi tempat tujuan para pendaki yang berada di puncak Gunung Lawu karena tempat jualannya menjadi persinggahan pendaki yang kedinginan.
Warung Mbok Yem juga menyediakan makanan yang sangat murah meski berada di puncak Gunung Lawu.
Mbok Yem sendiri memiliki tradisi turun Gunung Lawu yang biasanya dilakukan saat bulan puasa menjelang Lebaran.
Namun, karena kondisi kesehatannya yang menurun sejak Februari 2025, Mbok Yem harus turun lebih awal sambil ditandu enam orang.
