Kasus DBD Meningkat, Warga Jakarta Barat Diminta Waspada

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Warga Jakarta Barat diminta mewaspadai ancaman penyakit DBD mengingat saat ini sudah masuk musim hujan dan kasusnya kembali meningkat selama empat bulan terakhir.
Kepala Suku Dinas Kesehatan Jakarta Barat Erizon Safari menjelaskan musim hujan berpotensi terjadi peningkatan kasus DBD karena ada tempat untuk perkembangbiakan nyamuk Aedes aegypti, penyebab demam berdarah.
“Sangat berpotensi meningkat. Itu kan sudah seperti trend ya. Saat ada hujan, biasanya ada kecendungan, kasus akan meningkat. Karena otomatis ada terjadi genangan. Begitu ada genangan, ada tempat populasi yang untuk tumbuhnya jentik nyamuk aedes aegypti. Nah, itu resiko terkait dengan iklim. Pasti ada lah kemungkinan kenaikan,” jelas Erizon, Rabu (12/2).
Terkait peningkatan kasus DBD, ia mengatakan biasanya terjadi mulai musim hujan atau sekitar bulan Januari dan Februari.
“Biasanya sih trennya akan mencapai puncak di Mei atau Juni. Biasanya kan secara umum ya. Setiap awal tahun akan mulai beranjak naik. Mencapai puncaknya di April, Mei gitu,” ujar Erizon.
Untuk mengantisipasi dan mencegah DBD, perlu dilakukan pemeriksaan tempat-tempat potensial jentik nyamuk berkembang biak dengan rutin melakukan pemberantasan sarang nyamuk (PSN) di seluruh lingkungan permukiman warga dan wilayah.
“Warga harus paham gerakan satu rumah satu Jumantik (juru pemantau jentik). Begitu ada genangan harus dituntaskan. Mereka melakukan pemeriksaan sebagai Jumantik mandiri. Itu sudah umum dilakukan oleh warga melalui kader-kader Jumantik ataupun melalui puskesmas, dan dari unsur kader pelurahan juga,” pungkas Erizon.
Tercatat sebanyak 3.724 kasus DBD di Jakarta Barat pada empat bulan terakhir, yakni Oktober 2024 tercatat 79 kasus, November (97) dan Desember (124), sedangkan Januari 2025 tercatat 177 kasus.
