Perkuat Keamanan Laut, Indonesia Resmi Punya 2 Kapal Selam Canggih Scorpene

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesia melalui Kementerian Pertahanan (Kemhan) telah resmi bekerja sama untuk pengadaan dua kapal selam buatan Prancis bernama Scorpene. Kapal selam ini merupakan hasil dari Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) antara Naval Group Prancis dan PT PAL Indonesia pada tahun lalu.
Kapal selam Scorpene ini memiliki panjang 71 meter dengan kecepatan maksimum 20 knot. Persenjataan di kapal selam ini ada torpedo Black Shark, Missile SM 39 serta dapat dipasangi torpedo F21 serta dilengkapi non akustik sensor dan sistem komunikasi.
Selain itu, kapal ini memiliki kemampuan indiscretion rate 4,5% atau tidak terdeteksi oleh musuh saat beroperasi di bawah air.
Dilansir dari situs resmi Kemhan, telah ditandatangani kontrak Submarine Class 1800-2800 Tonage dengan Advanced and Improved Propulsion (AIP), di Jakarta pada Kamis (4/4/2024).
Penandatanganan tersebut nantinya diwujudkan untuk pengadaan dua unit kapal selam Scorpene. Kapal selam ini digunakan sebagai simulator untuk training, pelatihan untuk ABK, instruktur dan operator simulator, Integrated Logistic Support, serta material untuk tiga kali misi selama satu tahun.
Nantinya, pelaksanaan pembangunan kapal selam Scorpene ini sepenuhnya dilakukan oleh galangan kapal PT PAL Indonesia di Surabaya.
