China Tegaskan Perang Dagang dengan AS Bukan Jalan Keluar

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Pemerintah China menegaskan perang dagang bukan solusi terbaik bagi hubungan ekonomi dengan AS. Langkah ini diambil meski sejak 10 Februari 2025, China mulai mengenakan tarif tambahan.
“Perang dagang dan tarif tidak memiliki pemenang serta merugikan kepentingan rakyat kedua negara,” ujar Juru Bicara Kementrian Luar Negeri China, Guo Jiakun. Ia juga menegaskan yang dibutuhkan saat ini adalah dialog, bukan kebijakan sepihak.
China mengumumkan tarif tambahan atas impor dari AS yang meliputi batu bara, LNG, dan kendaraan. Kebijakan ini merupakan balasan atas tarif dagang baru yang diberlakukan oleh AS terhadap produk China.
Sebelumnya, Presiden AS Donald Trump telah menandatangani perintah eksekutif yang menaikkan pajak impor dari beberapa negara. “Dialog harus didasarkan pada kesetaraan dan saling menghormati,” tambah Guo Jiakun dalam konferensi pers.
China dan AS sudah membahas solusi melalui telepon antara kedua presiden pada 17 Januari 2025. “Kami mendesar AS untuk berhenti mempolitisasi isu perdagangan dan kembali ke meja perundingan,” kata Guo Jiakun.
AS menetapkan tarif tambahan sebesar 10 persen terhadap barang dari China sebagai tindakan balasan. “Kebijakan tarif ini hanya memperburuk situasi perdagangan global,” seperti dilansir dari ANTARA.
Pemerintah AS juga mencabut aturan “de minimis” yang sebelumnya membebaskan barang yang dibawah 800 dolar AS dari pajak. Langkah ini sebagai upaya menekan negara yang dianggap berkontribusi ke penyelundupan narkoba dan imigrasi ilegal.
Kanada dan Meksiko mendapat penundaan tarif 25 persen setelah berjanji meningkatkan kemanan perbatasan. Kebijakan ini menunjukkan perang dagang bukanlah solusi yang menguntungkan bagi semua pihak.
