Pemerintah akan Bangun Pusat Data Nasional Kedua akan Dibangun di KEK Nongsa
SEAToday.com, Batam - Direktur PT Taman Resor Internet selaku Badan Usaha Pembangun dan Pengelola Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Nongsa, Peters Vincen menyebut bahwa Pusat Data Nasional (PDN) kedua di Indonesia direncanakan akan dibangun di KEK Nongsa, Batam, mulai tahun 2025.
Ia menjelaskan bahwa saat ini, KEK Nongsa Digital Park sudah memiliki ekosistem pusat data. Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informasi (Kominfo) kemudian merencanakan pembangunan PDN kedua awal tahun depan.
“Dari Kominfo sudah selesai cut and fill. Rencananya katanya sih, semoga jadi, awal tahun depan sudah mulai pembangunan,” kata Peters.
Menurut Peters, pembangunan pusat data di KEK Nongsa merupakan investasi padat modal yang signifikan. Bersama Kementerian Kominfo, ada empat investor internasional yang juga akan membangun pusat data mereka di KEK Nongsa, yaitu Singapura, Hong Kong, Tiongkok, dan Selandia Baru.
