SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Pejabat Israel pada Senin (17/6) mengatakan bahwa Perdana Menteri Benjamin Netanyahu telah membubarkan kabinet perangnya yang selama ini telah berperan besar dalam mengawasi konflik di Gaza. Keputusan ini diambil seminggu setelah pengunduran diri anggota kunci kabinet tersebut, mantan kepala militer Benny Gantz.
Netanyahu dilaporkan menyatakan bahwa kabinet tersebut dibentuk sebagai kesepakatan dengan saingan politiknya, Benny Gantz, pemimpin oposisi yang dipandang memiliki suara yang lebih moderat. “Saat Gantz pergi, tidak diperlukan lagi forum tersebut,” kata Netanyahu.
Kabinet perang yang beranggotakan enam orang itu sekarang akan digantikan oleh forum yang lebih kecil, di mana Netanyahu akan berkonsultasi untuk isu-isu sensitif. Langkah ini dapat memperkuat pengaruh Netanyahu dalam pengambilan keputusan terkait konflik di Gaza.
