Bandara IKN Akan Dioperasikan untuk Umum

SEAToday.com, Nusantara - Bandara di Ibu Kota Nusantara yang dulunya berstatus Very Very Important Person (VVIP) atau Naratetama kini tidak lagi berstatus VVIP dan dibuka untuk umum.
Hal tersebut sebagaimana yang disampaikan oleh Juru Bicara Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Endra S Atmawidjaja, Rabu (31/7/2024).
"Kalau bandara sudah tidak ada sebutan VVIP lagi," sebut Endra.
Bandara tersebut saat ini tidak lagi dikhususkan untuk tamu-tamu penting kenegaraan, tetapi akan dioperasikan untuk umum.
Namun, Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) belum memberikan nama yang pasti untuk bandara terdekat dari Kawasan Inti Pusat Pemerintahan (KIPP) ini.
"Bandara VVIP itu bukan dimaksudkan bandara eksklusif, tapi itu bandara yang paling dekat ke IKN. Jadi itu Bandara IKN atau apapun namanya," lanjutnya.
Penamaan Bandara VVIP IKN sebelumnya diatur dalam Peraturan Presiden (Perpres) Nomor 31 Tahun 2023 tentang Percepatan Pembangunan dan Pengoperasian Bandar Udara Very Very Important Person untuk Mendukung Ibu Kota Nusantara.
Tertulis dalam Pasal 2 Perpres tersebut, Bandara VVIP merupakan bandar udara khusus yang digunakan untuk melayani kepentingan kegiatan pemerintahan di IKN. Karenanya, Perpres tersebut bakal direvisi.
"Iya (Perpres direvisi). Jadi nanti orang yang mau ke IKN bisa lewat situ, yang komersialnya bisa lewat Balikpapan," pungkas Endra.
