Breaking News: Ketua KPU Hasyim Asy'ari Dipecat!

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Ketua Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) RI Hasyim Asy'ari resmi diberhentikan oleh Dewan Kehormatan Penyelenggara Pemilu (DKPP) RI pada Rabu (3/7/2024)
"Menjatuhkan sanksi pemberhentian tetap kepada teradu Hasyim Asy'ari selaku ketua merangkap anggota Komisi Pemilihan Umum RI terhitung putusan ini dibacakan," kata Ketua DKPP RI Heddy Lugito dalam sidang pembacaan putusan di Kantor DKPP RI, Jakarta.
Sanksi tersebut diberikan karena Hasyim terbukti melakukan pelanggaran kode etik penyelenggara pemilu (KEPP) karena melakukan tindakan asusila terhadap seorang perempuan anggota Panitia Pemilihan Luar Negeri (PPLN) Den Haag, Belanda.
Dalam sidang putusan tersebut, Hasyim tidak hadir secara langsung melainkan secara daring melalui zoom.
Sidang Putusan Nomor Perkara 90-PKE-DKPP/V/2024 tersebut dimulai pukul 14.10 WIB, dan dibuka oleh Ketua DKPP RI Heddy Lugito.
Selain itu, DKPP RI mengabulkan pengaduan pengadu seluruhnya, dan meminta Presiden RI Joko Widodo untuk mengganti Hasyim dalam kurun waktu 7 hari sejak putusan dibacakan.
Terakhir, DKPP RI meminta Badan Pengawas Pemilihan Umum (Bawaslu) RI untuk mengawasi pelaksanaan putusan tersebut.
DKPP telah menggelar sidang perdana dugaan pelanggaran kode etik terkait tindak asusila yang dilakukan Ketua KPU RI Hasyim Asy'ari Rabu (22/5). Kemudian sidang lanjutan digelar (6/6), DKPP memanggil Sekjen KPU RI Bernad Dermawan Sutrisno.
Pada Kamis, 18 April 2024, Ketua KPU RI Hasyim Asy'ari dilaporkan ke DKPP RI oleh Lembaga Konsultasi Bantuan Hukum dan Pilihan Penyelesaian Sengketa Fakultas Hukum Universitas Indonesia (LKBH-PPS FH UI) dan Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Asosiasi Perempuan Indonesia untuk Keadilan (LBH APIK).
