Update Banjir Bandang Sumbar: 50 Meninggal, 27 Hilang

SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Korban meninggal akibat banjir bandang di sejumlah wilayah di Sumatera Barat (Sumbar) bertambah menjadi 50 orang. Hal ini dilaporkan oleh Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB).
Hingga hari ini, Selasa (14/5/2024) tercatat korban yang meninggal dunia bertambah menjadi 50 orang, 27 orang hilang, 37 orang luka-lika, serta 3.396 jiwa mengungsi. Keterangan ini disampaikan secara tertulis oleh Kepala BNPB Letjen TNI Suharyanto.
Korban meninggal dunia terbanyak sejauh ini berada di Kabupaten Agam sebanyak 20 orang, Kabupaten Tanah Datar 19 orang, Kota Padang Panjang 2 orang, Kota Padang 1 orang, dan Kabupaten Padang Pariaman 8 orang.
Suharyanto mengatakan bahwa jumlah korban masih sangat dinamis. Saat ini, pihaknya masih mengupayakan untuk mendatangkan alat berat untuk mempermudah proses pencarian dan evakuasi.
Sementara, untuk mereka yang sedang mengungsi, mereka juga terus berupaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dasar para masyarakat yang terdampak dan berada di tempat pengungsian.
Hingga Senin kemarin, pengiriman bantuan logistik masih terus dilakukan. Meski terkendala masih ada tempat dan jalur yang masih tertutup dan terisolir, sehingga rencananya pengiriman bantuan akan dilakukan menggunakan jalur udara maupun jembatan dengan memakai jembatan darurat.
