Akibat Efek Samping Vaksin Covid-19, Warga Jepang Tuntut Ganti Rugi Rp9 Miliar ke Pemerintah
SEAToday.com, Tokyo - Sekelompok warga di Jepang dikabarkan menuntut tanggung jawab pemerintah pusat karena merasa dirugikan akibat efek samping vaksin Covid-19 yang tidak dipublikasikan.
Dilansir dari NHK, setidaknya ada 13 orang penggugat yang mengajukan tuntutannya ke Pengadilan Distrik Tokyo pada Rabu (17/4/2024).
Mereka merupakan keluarga dari delapan orang yang meninggal setelah diberi vaksin Covid-19 dan lima orang lainnya mengaku mengalami gangguan kesehatan setelah vaksinasi.
Penggugat meminta ganti rugi sebesar 91 juta Yen atau sekitar Rp9.5 miliar. Dan dikabarkan ke-13 penggugat telah diverifikasi memenuhi syarat untuk menerima program bantuan sesuai Undang-Undang Imunisasi di Jepang.
Kawano Akiko, yang suaminya meninggal dua hari setelah vaksinasi, mengatakan dalam konferensi pers bahwa pemerintah mengabaikan dampak buruk yang ditimbulkan oleh vaksin dan gagal memberi tahu masyarakat tentang risikonya.
Ia ingin pemerintah mengambil tanggung jawab. Tetapi Kementerian Kesehatan Jepang menolak berkomentar dan mengatakan pihaknya belum menerima pengaduan tersebut.
