BMKG Ungkap Potensi Perubahan Cuaca Saat Arus Mudik Lebaran 2024
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG) menyatakan adanya potensi perubahan cuaca secara tiba-tiba dari tanggal 5-11 April 2024 bersamaan dengan arus mudik Idul Fitri 2024.
“Untuk cuaca ekstrem kita prediksi tanggal 5 sampai 11 April, itu masih hujan sedang hingga lebat ya, tanggal 12 April dan sesudahnya diprakirakan aktivitas cuaca ekstrem berkurang menjadi hujan ringan,” ungkap Deputi Bidang Meteorologi Guswanto, dilansir dari Antara.
Perubahan cuaca menjadi salah satu indikasi akan datangnya cuaca ekstrem. Selain itu, aktivitas perubahan cuaca ini dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas Madden Julian Oscillation (MJO) yang mempengaruhi Daerah konvergensi Antar-Tropik (DKAT), bibit siklon tropis, serta siklon tropis Megan.
Antara mengungkap BMKG akan menerapkan Teknologi Modifikasi Cuaca (TMC) untuk meminimalisasi dampak cuaca ekstrem yang akan datang. Pelaksanaannya akan dilakukan oleh PUPR berupa pengetatan tanggul sungai agar tidak kembali jebol saat arus mudik.
"Saat ini sudah dilakukan teknologi modifikasi cuaca dan digalakkan dari teman-teman PUPR untuk memperketat tanggul sungai supaya tidak jebol lagi begitu," ucap Guswanto.
