BMKG Minta Masyarakat Waspada Potensi Cuaca Ekstrem Sepekan ke Depan
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Deputi Bidang Meteorologi BMKG Guswanto meminta masyarakat mewaspadai potensi cuaca ekstrem hingga sepekan ke depan berupa kilat, petir dan angin kencang.
"Kepada masyarakat dan instansi terkait agar tetap waspada terhadap potensi cuaca ekstrem berupa hujan sedang hingga lebat yang disertai dengan kilat atau petir dan angin kencang hingga sepekan ke depan," kata Deputi Bidang Meteorologi BMKG Guswanto dalam keterangannya di Jakarta seperti dilansir Antara.
Guswanto menambahkan, masyarakat yang tinggal di topografi curam, bergunung, tebing, atau rawan longsor dan banjir patut mewaspadai dampak cuaca ekstrem tersebut. Yakni, banjir, banjir bandang, tanah longsor, jalan licin, pohon tumbang, dan berkurangnya jarak pandang.
Di sisi lain, beberapa daerah masuk dalam kategori waspada untuk dua hari ke depan berdasarkan Prakiraan Berbasis Dampak (Impact Based Forecast/IBF). Daerah-daerah tersebut yaitu Aceh, Sumatra Utara, Sumatra Barat, Riau, Kep. Riau, Jambi, Sumatra Selatan, Bengkulu, dan Kepulauan Bangka Belitung.
Kemudian, Banten, Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah, Di Yogyakarta, Jawa Timur, Kalimantan Tengah, Kalimantan Barat, Sulawesi Utara, dan Papua.
"Untuk wilayah yang masuk dalam kategori siaga untuk dua hari ke depan yaitu meliputi Aceh, Sumatera Utara, dan Riau," kata Kepala Pusat Meteorologi Publik Andri Ramdhani
