Fakta-fakta Bencana Longsor di Tanah Karo Sumatera Utara

SEAToday.com, Tanah Karo – Belum lama ini bencana tanah longsor terjadi di Tanah Karo atau Kabupaten Karo, Sumatera Utara. Longsor berada di dekat pemandian air panas belerang di Desa Semangat Gunung. Berikut beberapa fakta tentang kejadian memilukan yang terjadi di akhir bulan November tersebut.
1.Korban Tewas
Menurut informasi terdapat 10 warga yang dinyatakan meninggal dunia dalam bencana tanah longsor tersebut. 10 jenazah warga sudah berhasil ditemukan oleh tim SAR di lokasi. Tidak semua jenazah langsung ditemukan karena beberapa di antaranya dikabarkan menghilang namun ditemukan dalam kondisi sudah meninggal dunia.
2.Tanah Karo Daerah Rawan
Tanah Karo merupakan daerah rawan bencana tanah longsor. Hal itu disebabkan karena topografinya berbukit dan bergelombang, termasuk ada banyak lereng yang curam dan terjal. Hal ini menyebabkan apabila tanah longsor terjadi maka menyebabkan banyak korban jiwa.
3. Titik Daerah Rawan Longsor
Di Tanah Karo terdapat banyak daerah rawan longsor. Tingkat kerawanan dibagi antara lain rawan rendah, rawan sedang, dan rawan tinggi. Rawan rendah terdiri dari 5 kecamatan yakni Payung, Simpang Empat, Naman Teran, Kabanjahe, dan Dolat Rayat.
Sementara untuk rawan sedang berada di kecamatan Laubaleng, Tigabinanga, Juhar, Munte, Tiganderket, Merdeka dan Tigapanah. Dan, daerah rawan tinggi didominasi beberapa kecamatan yaitu mardinding, Kutabuluh, Berastagi, Merek dan Barusjahe.
4.Petugas Masih Bersiaga
Petugas gabungan di lokasi masih melakukan penjagaan guna mengantisipasi adanya tanah longsor susulan. Ternyata ada beberapa titik longsor baru di daerah perbukitan di kawasan Tanah Karo.
5.Bantuan untuk Warga Terdampak
Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana atau BNPB memberikan bantuan pangan dan non pangan untuk penanganan darurat tanah longsor di Tanah Karo. BNPB menyerahkan bantuan secara simbolis bantuan kepada Bupati Karo, Cory Sriwaty Sebayang.
Bantuan pangan terdiri dari paket sembako 200 paket, makanan siap saji 200 dan biskuit protein 150. Sedangkan bantuan non-pangan, BNPB menyalurkan _hygiene kits_ 200 paket, terpal 100 lembar, karung 100 buah, pompa alkon 5 unit, genset 2 dan tenda pengungsi 2. BNPB juga memberikan bantuan operasional dana siap pakai sebesar Rp200 juta.
