Donald Trump Divonis Bersalah, Bisa Kena 4 Tahun Penjara
SEAToday.com, New York-Mantan Presiden Amerika Serikat Donald Trump diputuskan bersalah di Pengadilan New York, Kamis (30/5) sore waktu setempat, atas 34 tuduhan kepadanya, terkait pemalsuan catatan bisnis dan pembayaran uang tutup mulut ke bintang film dewasa Stormy Daniels sebelum pemilu 2016. Ia teranca, menghadapi hukuman 4 tahun penjara, dan keputusannya akan ditentukan pada 11 Juli mendatang.
Hal ini membuat Trump menjadi mantan presiden Amerika Serikat pertama yang mendapatkan hukuman atas tindakan kriminal.
Keputusan ini menjadi pukulan bagi pencalonan diri Trump yang awalnya akan dikukuhkan sebagai calon presiden dalam pemilu mendatang.
Juri menilai Trump bersalah atas 34 dakwaan antara lain pemalsuan catatan bisnis. Trump disebut membayar sekitar Rp2,1 miliar kepada Daniels lewat pengacaranya saat itu Michael Cohen lewat sebuah perusahaan cangkang.
