Mendiktisaintek: Alumni Penerima LPDP Dapat Berkarya di Mana Saja, Tak Harus Pulang di Indonesia
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Para alumni penerima beasiswa Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) dari universitas luar negeri tidak diharuskan untuk pulang ke Indonesia dan dapat berkarya di mana saja. Informasi tersebut ditegaskan oleh Menteri Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains, dan Teknologi (Mendiktisaintek) Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro, Selasa (5/11).
Hal ini dikarenakan kondisi dalam negeri yang belum optimal menyediakan peluang untuk berkarya dan mengabdi. Namun, Mendiktisaintek mengatakan jika pihaknya berkomitmen untuk membangun industri yang dapat menampung keahlian para alumni tersebut.
“Kami memang memberi kesempatan mereka untuk berkarya di mana saja. Meskipun tidak pulang, tapi dia punya prestasi yang bagus, bekerja di perusahaan yang juga baik di luar negeri, atau menemukan inovasi. Kita bilang, Indonesia yang menemukan inovasi itu. Jadi meskipun di luar negeri, kan masih Merah Putih,” ujarnya.
Selain itu, ia juga menyebut investasi di pendidikan tidak pernah merugikan.
