Polisi Thailand Sita Obat Hewan Palsu Senilai 38 Miliar Rupiah

SEAToday.com, Bangkok - Wakil Menteri Kesehatan Masyarakat Thailand, Thanakit Jitareerat mengatakan pada hari Selasa (17/6) bahwa pihak berwenang telah menyita lebih dari 200 ribu barang ilegal senilai 84,84 juta baht atau sekitar 38 miliar rupiah.
Barang-barang ilegal tersebut ditemukan di empat tempat berbeda di dua provinsi, yaitu di Nakhon Pathom di mana mereka menggeledah tiga lokasi, dan satu gudang di provinsi Samut Sakhon.
Tiga dari lokasi di Nakhon Pathom digunakan untuk memproduksi obat-obatan secara ilegal, dan polisi menyita lebih dari 100 kemasan obat hewan yang tidak terdaftar.
Di Samut Sakhon, polisi menggerebek sebuah gudang di distrik Muang dan menyita 6.000 dan 270 kemasan obat hewan ilegal/ senilai sekitar 4,8 juta baht atau atau sekitar 2,1 miliar rupiah.
Menurut Letnan Kolonel Polisi, Kankanit, yang menjalankan jaringan criminal ini adalah warga negara China, karena obat-obatan palsu tersebut diimpor dari China dan dijual kepada pelanggan di Thailand.
Setelah sekitar empat bulan beroperasi, bisnis khusus ini telah menjual sekitar 500 kotak obat hewan setiap bulannya, dengan nilai total sekitar 300 ribu baht atau sekitar 134 juta rupiah.
