Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional Sepakati Kolaborasi dengan Indian Space Research Organization

SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) menyetujui perjanjian kolaborasi di bidang luar angkasa dengan Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Berdasarkan pernyataan Kedutaan Besar India, Rabu (20/3), perjanjian tersebut disepakati melalui penandatanganan Perjanjian Implementasi Pengalihan Hak Fasilitas Telemetri, Pelacakan, dan Komando (TTC) Biak Terpadu, Selasa (19/3).
Perjanjian tersebut dihadiri oleh Ketua BRIN Laksana Tri Handoko dan Duta Besar India Sandeep Chakravorty. Dubes Sandeep mengatakan, saat ini sektor luar angkasa India sedang mengalami pertumbuhan yang pesat. Ia juga menyebutkan program penerbangan luar angkasa manusia pertama India, “Gaganyaan”, mengalami kemajuan luar biasa dan diperkirakan akan selesai pada tahun 2025.
Kolaborasi ini merupakan pencapaian dalam memperkuat kerja sama bilateral antara India dan Indonesia setelah penandatanganan Inter-Governmental Framework Agreement on Cooperation in the Exploration and Uses of Outer Space for Peaceful Purposes pada saat kunjungan Perdana Menteri Narendra Modi ke Jakarta pada bulan Mei 2018.
India dan Indonesia melalui ISRO dan BRIN juga mengikatkan diri dalam Perjanjian Kerangka Kerja mengatur pengalihan hak milik, termasuk operasi lebih lanjut dan pengelolaan TTC oleh ISRO. (GHINA/DKD)
