Erupsi Gunung Ruang: Hujan Batu Kerikil di Pulau Tagulandang, Bandar Udara Internasional Sam Ratulangi Ditutup Sementara

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura I menutup sementara operasional Bandar Udara Internasional Sam Ratulangi akibat erupsi Gunung Ruang di Kabupaten Siau Tagulandang Biaro (Sitaro), Sulawesi Utara, Kamis (18/4). Penutupan bandara tersebut berlaku selama tiga jam, yakni pukul 8.00-10.00 WITA.

 

Sebelumnya, Badan Geologi Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) melaporkan Pulau Tagulandang, Sulawesi Utara, sempat dilanda hujan batu kerikil dan hujan pasir yang menyebabkan atap rumah warga rusak. Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB), Kamis (18/4), menyebut setidaknya empat kapal dikerahkan untuk mengevakuasi warga yang berada dalam radius 6 km dari pusat kawah aktif Gunung Ruang.

 

Status Gunung Ruang naik dari level III siaga menjadi level IV awas. Hal ini menyusul eskalasi aktivitas vulkanik Gunung Ruang yang kembali erupsi, Rabu (17/4) pukul 18.00 WITA dengan ketinggian semburan material mencapai 2.500 meter dari puncak.

 

Data Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi (PVMBG) menyebut, selama kurun waktu 24 jam terakhir,  Gunung Ruang telah mengalami lima kali erupsi dengan ketinggian 1.800 meter hingga 3.000 meter dari puncak Gunung Ruang. Selain itu, BMKG juga memberikan peringatan potensi tsunami bagi masyarakat pesisir pantai. (DHITA/ DKD)
