BMKG Terapkan Teknologi Modifikasi Cuaca Jelang Libur Natal dan Tahun Baru

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) melakukan teknologi modifikasi cuaca untuk mengamankan jalur yang akan dipadati pemudik pada liburan Natal 2023 dan Tahun Baru 2024 (Nataru).

BMKG telah bekerja sama dengan Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB), TNI Angkatan Udara, serta Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) untuk melaksanakan teknologi modifikasi cuaca ini.

BMKG memperkirakan untuk periode sebelum natal pada 17-24 Desember 2023, wilayah dengan hujan intensitas lebat akan terjadi di Sumatra, Jawa, Kalimantan, NTT, Halmahera, dan Papua. Lalu periode setelah Natal 2023 pada 25 Desember 2023-1 Januari 2024, BMKG melihat wilayah dengan intensitas hujan lebat sedikit bergeser, namun potensi hujan dengan intensitas lebat masih terjadi di berbagai wilayah Indonesia.

BMKG memastikan informasi cuaca dapat diakses dengan mudah oleh masyarakat dan juga pihak terkait.
