Gunung Dukono di Maluku Utara Meletus, Muntahkan Abu Setinggi 4.000 Meter
SEAToday.com, Maluku Utara - Gunung Dukono di Maluku Utara kembali erupsi, Rabu (3/1). Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi (PVMBG) melaporkan, kali ini letusan pada Gunung Dukono terjadi pada pukul 6.52 WIT dan melontarkan abu vulkanik setinggi sekitar 4.000 meter.
Masyarakat dan pengunjung yang berada di sekitar Gunung Dukono, direkomendasikan untuk tidak beraktivitas, mendaki, dan mendekati Kawah Malupang Warirang dalam radius tiga kilometer. Selain itu, masyarakat juga diimbau untuk memakai masker guna menghindari ancaman bahaya abu vulkanik pada sistem pernafasan.
Sebelumnya, Gunung Dukono juga erupsi pada Jumat (29/12). PVMBG terus memantau aktivitas Gunung Dukono secara visual dan instrumental dari pos pengamatan yang berlokasi di Desa Mamuya, Kecamatan Galela, Kabupaten Halmahera Utara, Provinsi Maluku Utara.
