SEAToday.com, Gaza - Senin (25/12) Israel menyatakan tidak akan memperpanjang visa anggota staf PBB yang berada di negara itu dan juga akan berhenti memberikan “lampu hijau” kepada semua pekerja PBB. Keputusan ini diambil setelah berbagai badan dan pejabat PBB berulang kali mengkritik serangan Israel yang menargetkan daerah pemukiman, sekolah, dan rumah sakit. Keputusan menghentikan visa otomatis bagi para pekerja Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB) ini dikatenakan Israel mencurigai beberapa di antara mereka merupakan "mitra yang terlibat" dengan Hamas.
"Kementerian Luar Negeri telah mengumumkan bahwa permintaan visa oleh pegawai PBB tidak akan lagi diberikan secara otomatis, dan akan dipertimbangkan berdasarkan kasus per kasus," kata Juru Bicara Israel Eylon Levy.
Sementara itu, pelapor khusus PBB untuk Palestina Francesca Albanese mengecam keputusan tersebut, dan menyebutnya sebagai "serangan tak berdasar terhadap PBB yang hanya membuktikan kepengecutan moral" dalam unggahannya di X.
