KPU DKI Jakarta Akan Dampingi 22.000 Pemilih dengan Gangguan Jiwa pada Pemilu 2024
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) DKI Jakarta akan memfasilitasi para penyandang disabilitas dan gangguan kejiwaan (ODGJ) untuk menyalurkan hak politiknya dalam Pemilu 2024 mendatang. Berdasarkan data dari KPU DKI Jakarta, tercatat daftar pemilih tetap (DPT) untuk Pemilu 2024 berjumlah 8.252.897 pemilih. Dari total tersebut, 61.747 diantaranya merupakan penyandang disabilitas termasuk 22.871 disabilitas mental atau ODGJ.
Secara teknis, ODGJ di bawah pengampuan rumah sakit jiwa atau panti sosial akan diberikan hak memilih. KPU akan berkoordinasi dengan para pengasuh agar ODGJ bisa mengikuti Pemilu 2024. Namun, KPU DKI Jakarta mengaku masih menunggu keputusan resmi terkait regulasi teknisnya. Menurut Ketua Divisi Astri, kondisi kesehatan pemilih ODGJ cenderung fluktuatif, sehingga harus dapat dipastikan sehat sebelum menggunakan hak suaranya.
KPU DKI Jakarta telah memetakan pemilih ODGJ dipusatkan di panti-panti. Hal ini dilakukan untuk diberikan pendampingan saat mereka menuju bilik suara.
