Fotokopi KTP Tidak Diberlakukan Mulai 1 Januari

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Fotokopi Kartu Tanda Penduduk (KTP) tidak akan lagi diberlakukan sebagai persyaratan mengurus data kependudukan mulai 1 Januari 2024 mendatang. Hal ini diberlakukan seiring dengan kebijakan pemerintah untuk mengenalkan Identitas Kependudukan Digital (IKD).
IKD merupakan KTP elektronik (e-KTP) berbentuk digital yang berisi informasi elektronik untuk merepresentasikan Dokumen Kependudukan dan data dalam aplikasi digital.
Kementerian Dalam Negeri menyebutkan, keberadaan IKD bukan berarti menghapus e-KTP, namun keduanya saling melengkapi dan tetap diberlakukan, mengingat kondisi masyarakat yang belum memiliki atau tidak terbiasa menggunakan gawai. Aktivasi IKD ini tidak bersifat wajib, namun pemerintah mengimbau masyarakat untuk tetap melakukan aktivasi.
Asisten Deputi Perumusan Kebijakan dan Koordinasi Penerapan Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik Kementerian Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi Cahyono Tri Birowo menyebutkan bahwa dengan adanya IKD, masyarakat tidak perlu repot untuk menunjukkan e-KTP karena semua data telah terintegrasi di IKD.
