SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The Transportation Ministry (Kemenhub) targets the construction of Phase 1B of the Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) from Velodrome to Manggarai to be completed in the third quarter of 2026.
The ministry’s Director-General of Railways Risal Wasal said on Wednesday (6/26) that the construction was considered to be running well, so it will not miss the set target. “We are optimistic that this project can be completed and the operation can start in early 2027. We hope that in the third quarter of 2026 it can be used by the public,” said Risal.
The Jakarta LRT Phase 1B has a 6.4-km track and is facilitated with five stations. This route also adds the mode of transport integrated with Manggarai Central Station.
