Israel Halangi Kepala UNRWA Masuk Gaza
SEAToday.com, Gaza-Komisaris Jenderal Lembaga Bantuan dan Pekerjaan PBB untuk Pengungsi Palestina (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, mengaku dilarang Israel untuk masuk ke Gaza, Senin (18/3). Ia mengatakan, aksi ini dilakukan setelah informasi mengenai kelaparan di Gaza dikeluarkan.
“Kelaparan akan segera terjadi di Jalur Gaza Utara, dan diperkirakan akan terjadi antara sekarang hingga Mei,” tulis Lazzarini di akun X-nya (@UNLazzarini), Senin.
Lazzarini menyatakan alasan ingin ke Gaza adalah untuk mengunjungi Rafah. Namun, ia menjelaskan di konferensi pers bersama Menteri Luar Negeri Mesir bahwa Israel melarangnya untuk memasuki Gaza.
“Tetapi, saya diberitahu satu jam yang lalu bahwa saya ditolak masuk ke Rafah,” ujarnya, dikutip dari Al-Arabiya.
Penolakan Israel ini dikonfirmasi juga oleh Direktur Komunikasi UNRWA Juliette Touma. Menteri Luar Negeri Mesir Sameh Shoukry mengungkapkan jika ini pertama kalinya Israel menolak pejabat tinggi UNRWA. (GHINA/DKD)
