Kominfo Luncurkan Sistem Nasional Peringatan Dini Kebencanaan
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo) membangun Sistem Nasional Peringatan Dini Kebencanaan (SNPDK), Selasa (1/10). Sistem tersebut terdiri dari Early Warning System (EWS) dan Disaster Prevention Information System (DPIS).
SNPDK mengintegrasikan sistem informasi kebencanaan kementerian, lembaga, dan daerah, serta penyedia informasi bencana meliputi (1) Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika, (2) Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan, (3) Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana, (4) Badan Geologi Kementerian ESDM (PVMBG), dan (5) Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Khusus Jakarta.
Menteri Kominfo Budi Arie Setiadi mengatakan, EWS dan DPIS tersebut dapat memudahkan upaya meminimalkan pemangku kepentingan dalam mengurangi risiko bencana di Indonesia. Hal ini dapat mempermudah koordinasi dalam melakukan pertolongan yang responsif, serta meminimalkan dampak yang ditimbulkan terhadap masyarakat dan lingkungan.
