Erick Thohir Umumkan FIBA akan Buka Kantor di Indonesia
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Menteri BUMN yang juga merupakan Anggota Dewan Federasi Bola Basket Internasional (FIBA) Erick Thohir mengumumkan organisasi basket dunia tersebut akan membuka kantor di Indonesia. Hal tersebut diumumkan di instagram pribadi (@erickthohir), Rabu (1/5). Dalam unggahannya, Erick tampak bertemu dengan Dewan Pengurus Pusat FIBA Ingo Weiss di Jakarta.
Sebelumnya, sejumlah perwakilan FIBA juga bertemu dengan pengurus teras Pengurus Pusat (PP) Persatuan Bola Basket Seluruh Indonesia (Perbasi) di Senayan, Jakarta. Diantara perwakilan FIBA yang hadir yakni Direktur Eksekutif FIBA David Crocker, Anggota Dewan FIBA Ingo Weiss, dan Anggota Dewan Eksekutif dan Kepala Bagian Keuangan FIBA Patrick Mariller. Mereka mengapresiasi perkembangan bola basket Indonesia yang dinilai sukses dalam menyelenggarakan Piala Dunia FIBA 2023 pada pertengahan tahun lalu.
Perwakilan FIBA juga dikabarkan akan bertemu Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga Dito Ariotedjo di Kantor Kemenpora, Kamis (2/5) untuk mematangkan rencana FIBA membangun kantor di Indonesia. (DHITA/ DKD)
