Presiden Palestina Desak Hamas Segera Lakukan Gencatan Senjata dengan Israel
SEAToday.com, Gaza - Rabu (14/02), Presiden Palestina Mahmoud Abbas mendesak Hamas untuk segera menyetujui kesepakatan gencatan senjata di Jalur Gaza dengan Israel. Desakan itu untuk menghindari “konsekuensi yang mengerikan”. Lebih lanjut, Abbas juga membandingkan kemungkinan “konsekuensi mengerikan” tersebut dengan peristiwa Nakba tahun 1948 silam.
Israel dan Hamas tengah berunding mengenai upaya gencatan senjata demi mengakhiri konflik kemanusiaan sejak 7 Oktober lalu yang telah menewaskan lebih dari 28 ribu warga Palestina.
Sementara itu, Amerika Serikat sebagai pendukung utama militer Israel mengatakan pihaknya mendukung pembentukan negara Palestina, namun dengan perombakan kepemimpinan.
