Pemkot Denpasar Berencana Pisahkan Penumpang Pelabuhan Sanur ke Pantai Mertasari
SEAToday.com, Denpasar - Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Denpasar berencana untuk mengalihkan sebagian penumpang Pelabuhan Sanur ke Pantai Mertasari untuk mengatasi kemacetan.
Wali Kota Denpasar I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara sebelumnya meminta Kementerian Perhubungan untuk menyerahkan pengelolaan Pelabuhan Sanur kepada Pemkot Denpasar. Demi mengurangi penumpukan penumpang, Jaya Negara berencana untuk mengalihkan wisatawan yang akan berkunjung ke Nusa Penida dan Nusa Lembongan untuk melalui dua pelabuhan yang berlokasi di Pantai Matahari Terbit dan Pantai Mertasari.
Kamis (11/7), Kemenhub telah memberikan izin pengelolaan Pelabuhan Sanur kepada Pemkot Denpasar, ungkap Jaya Negara. Namun, jika dalam pengaplikasiannya tidak mampu, maka Kemenhub akan menarik kembali izin tersebut.
"Kalau kami tidak bisa mengelola nanti akan diambil alih BUMN. Sekarang masih disampaikan ke pak Presiden," jelas Jaya Negara.
