Siswa Bermasalah di Jabar Akan Dididik di Barak Militer Mulai 2 Mei

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Gubernur Jawa Barat Dedi Mulyadi menggulirkan rencana untuk "menyekolahkan" siswa bermasalah di Jabar agar dididik di barak militer mulai 2 Mei 2025.

Rencana ini merupakan pendidikan karakter yang akan mulai dijalankan di beberapa wilayah di Jawa Barat yang dianggap rawan, bekerja sama dengan TNI dan Polri.

"Tidak harus langsung di 27 kabupaten/kota. Kita mulai dari daerah yang siap dan dianggap rawan terlebih dahulu, lalu bertahap," ujar Dedi Mulyadi.

Adapun setiap siswa akan mengikuti program tersebut di sekitar 30 hingga 40 barak khusus yang telah disiapkan oleh TNI.

Sementara itu, peserta program dipilih berdasarkan kesepakatan antara sekolah dan orang tua, dengan prioritas pada siswa yang sulit dibina atau terindikasi terlibat dalam pergaulan bebas maupun tindakan kriminal, untuk diikutkan program pembinaan yang akan berlangsung enam bulan per siswa.

"Selama enam bulan siswa akan dibina di barak dan tidak mengikuti sekolah formal. TNI yang akan menjemput langsung siswa ke rumah untuk dibina karakter dan perilakunya," kata Dedi.

Pendanaan program ini akan dilaksanakan melalui kerja sama antara Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Barat dan pemerintah kabupaten/kota yang berpartisipasi.

Selain memberikan perhatian kepada para siswa, Dedi juga menyoroti pentingnya kesejahteraan serta mutu para guru, termasuk dalam hal rekrutmen yang menurutnya perlu dilakukan dengan cara yang transparan dan profesional.

"Ke depan, guru di Jabar harus memiliki karakteristik yang terstandar serta mengikuti pelatihan karakter," tuturnya.
